"I knew, even if I worked my butt off, I'd be just a number. I would never stand out." - This hits close to home. When I was a child, I was showered in love and appraised for every minor achievement. Just showing up was enough to feel significant lol. But then I grew up and realized that the world doesn't care even if I try hard. So I lost myself in attempts to find something I'm exceptional at, hoping that it would bring back this feeling of being no less than extraordinary.

Lowering the bar, being consistent, and accepting that I'm just like the rest of the people helped tremendously.
